Coinbase BTC Loans vs Morpho: Borrow Rates Compared
Coinbase's bitcoin-backed loans run on Morpho, a DeFi lending protocol. We think they use Morpho's cbBTC/USDC market on Base. We'll treat that as confirmed only once a public Coinbase page says so. Until then, we show Morpho's rate as Morpho's, not as Coinbase's.

What's actually different
- Convenience vs control. Coinbase handles the wallet and setup for you. On Morpho, you manage your own wallet and gas fees.
- Fees and spread. If Coinbase's displayed rate differs from Morpho's, the difference is what Coinbase's service costs. We'll show both once they're confirmed.
- Risks. Both carry liquidation risk. Morpho adds smart-contract risk, and Coinbase adds platform risk.
